PayPay銀行残高、「PayPayデビット」に名称変更
PayPayは、6月25日に「PayPay銀行残高」のサービス名称を「PayPayデビット」へ変更する。

PayPay銀行残高は、PayPay銀行アプリから利用可能できる支払手段。PayPay銀行アプリの「PayPay」の決済画面から決済すると、PayPay銀行の普通預金口座の残高から決済金額が即時に引き落とされる“デビットカード”的にPayPayを使う機能となる。4月にスタートしたばかりだが、名称を「PayPayデビット」へ刷新する。
名称変更した後も、PayPay銀行アプリから「PayPay」の支払い手段として利用可能。対象となるのは、PayPayの本人確認(eKYC)済で、PayPay銀行の円普通預金口座を保有するユーザー。
決済金額は直接PayPay銀行の円普通預金口座の残高から引き落とされるため、チャージの手間がかからない。ただし、「PayPayステップ」のカウントや利用特典は付与対象外。
「PayPayデビット」の利用限度額はPayPay銀行からPayPayの残高へのチャージと合算して1日あたり100万円。また、現時点ではオンラインサービスを提供する加盟店では決済できないが、順次拡大予定としている。
