9月4日、ジャガー・ランドローバー・ジャパンは、「ディフェンダー」の特別仕様車「TROPHY EDITION CURATED FOR JAPAN」を発表した。
ディフェンダーTROPHY EDITION CURATED FOR JAPANは、2025年6月に開催が発表された新たなグローバル・アドベンチャー・コンペティション「DEFENDER TROPHY」を記念して作られた特別仕様車だ。
DEFENDER TROPHYは、過去に実施した「TROPHY」や「CHALLENGE」といった伝説的なオフロードチャレンジにインスピレーションを得たもの。輸入元によれば「不可能なことに立ち向かい、地球規模の自然保護への情熱を持つ挑戦者のみが応募できる、壮大な目的を持ったイベント」と、謳う。
ディフェンダーTROPHY EDITION CURATED FOR JAPANは、ディフェンダーTROPHY EDITIONに日本向け装備を独自追加したモデルだ。
ベースグレードは「110 X-DYNAMIC SE D350」。搭載するパワートレインは、3.0リッター直列6気筒INGENIUMターボチャージドディーゼルエンジン（MHEV）で、最高出力257kW/350ps、最大トルク700Nmを発揮する。
ボディカラーは、過去のチャレンジコンペティションを象徴する黄色を現代的に解釈した「ディープサンドグローイエロー」と、英国の田園地帯をイメージした「ケズィックグリーン」の2色展開。インテリアにはエボニーウィンザーレザーシート（エボニーインテリア）を採用する。
加えてTROPHY EDITION ボンネットデカールやTROPHY EDITION バッジなども特別装備。オールテレインプログレスコントロール（ATPC）やテレインレスポンス2を備えた「アドバンスドオフロードパック」、電子制御エアサスペンション、そしてエクスペディションルーフラックやレイズドエアインテークなどの専用アクセサリーも装備する。
日本独自設定装備は40:20:40の分割可倒式リアシート（ヒーター、センターアームレスト付）や電動調整ステアリングコラム、ClearSightインテリアリアビューミラー、3ゾーンクライメートコントロール、エアクオリティセンサー、空気清浄システムプラス（PM2.5 フィルター付）、スライディングパノラミックルーフなど。
