G-SHOCK、新開発“メタル調の樹脂バンド”を搭載した4モデル
カシオ計算機は、「G-SHOCK」の新作として、樹脂バンドにメタル調の蒸着処理を施し、タフ性能も実現した「タフシリコーンバンド」を装備する「FINE METALLIC SERIES」4モデルを1月24日に発売する。価格は37,400円～45,650円。

構想15年、開発期間10年という新開発の「タフシリコーンバンド」を装備する。しなやかで腕になじみながら、耐摩耗性を高め、蒸着処理によるメタル調の質感も実現した。構想が始まった当時は実現できなかったという、G-SHOCKの厳しい耐久基準を満たす装備となる。
バンドはシリコン樹脂の表面をウレタン樹脂で保護する二層構造で、耐久性と美しさを両立させた。バンド表面には蒸着処理を施し、メタル調の質感も実現する。
鏡のような質感が追求されているほか、従来の樹脂バンドとは一部のデザインが異なり、バンド表面の段差や穴が最適化され、シンプルでミラー仕上げを最大限楽しめる仕上がりになっている。
腕時計本体はメタルベゼルを採用するモデル。「GM-5600」がベースでシルバーの「GM-5600YM」は37,400円、ゴールドの「GM-5600YMG」は42,900円。
「GM-2100」がベースでシルバーの「GM-2100YM」は40,150円、ゴールドの「GM-2100YMG」は45,650円。
