シャープのデジタル複合機、米 Keypoint Intelligence 社のセキュリティ評価「Device Penetration Testing」合格
シャープ株式会社は2月10日、同社のデジタル複合機が米国 Keypoint Intelligence社のセキュリティ評価「Device Penetration Testing」に合格し、「Security Validation」を獲得したと発表した。
同社の国内向けデジタル複合機 BP-70/60/50/40/C5シリーズ他、海外向けモデルを含む計44機種が、米国の独立評価機関 Keypoint Intelligence社とテストパートナーであるAgile Cybersecurity Solutions（ACS）による厳格なセキュリティ評価「Device Penetration Testing」に合格し、「Security Validation」の獲得となった。
「Device Penetration Testing」は、デジタル複合機の潜在的なセキュリティリスクを包括的に評価し、ファームウェアやネットワーク接続経路などの脆弱性を診断するセキュリティテストで、セキュリティ機能の有無のみならず、実際に意図的なサイバー攻撃を加えて堅牢性を評価する。
同社が獲得した「Security Validation」は、当該複合機がさまざまなサイバー攻撃から適切に保護され、推奨設定においてセキュリティ面で高い堅牢性があることを証明している。
