神戸新アリーナ、ウォークスルー手荷物検査の実証実験

ジーライオンアリーナ神戸は、神戸ウォーターフロントにおいて4月4日に開業する新アリーナ。実証実験は、神戸市の地域課題をスタートアップ等と協働して解決するプログラム「So-I (KOBE BUSINESS PROGRAM)地域課題解決コース」の取り組みで、新アリーナへの実装を目指して行なわれた。
神戸大学発のスタートアップ・Integral Geometry Science(IGS)による、危険物の検知ができる次世代型・セキュリティシステム Beyond AI「ウォークスルー型セキュリティゲート」の実証実験。12月7日、8日に、Bリーグ・神戸ストークスの試合会場である神戸市立中央体育館で実施した。新アリーナは開業後、神戸ストークスの本拠地となる。
神戸ストークスは興行時の入場口における来場者の手荷物検査を実施しており、来場者の利便性向上と運営の効率化に向け、手荷物検査の簡素化が課題となっていた。この課題を解決するとともに、スポーツ観戦環境におけるセキュリティを強化するため、次世代型セキュリティゲートの実装を見据えた実証実験を行なった。
実証実験は、神戸ストークス対アルティーリ千葉戦にて、ゲートを設置して運用。2日間で2,000人超の危険物検査を実施し、カバンや脇の下などに模擬銃や模擬ナイフなどを所持した疑似犯罪者を、100%検知することに成功した。また、1秒間に2人通過し、全ての通過者をリアルタイムで検査できたという。
これらの結果から、セキュリティゲートの導入により、危険物がイベント会場に持ち込まれることを防ぐことと、人の流れを阻害しないスムーズな会場への入場が両立できることを確認した。
IGSのウォークスルー型セキュリティゲートの特徴として、検査時間の短さ、リアルタイムでの高精度な検知、誤検知率の低さが挙げられ、混雑する場所・時間帯でも人の流れを止めずに検査が可能。また、壁や床に埋め込み、通行を妨げることなく大勢の通行人の検査ができる。
金属製かばん内や、体内に隠された銃や刃物のような危険物を透視。特殊な計算処理により検出対象の危険物のみを抽出し識別する。X線を使用しないため、被ばくリスクがなく、人体や周辺機器への影響がない点も特徴としている。
