JR西、バスや地域鉄道の定期券を自宅で買える「iCONPASS」
JR西日本とJR西日本テクシアは、バス・地域鉄道向けICOCAの新サービスとして、専用Webサイトで定期券を購入できるICOCA Web 定期券サービス「iCONPASS」を1月15日から順次開始する。

Webサイト上で手持ちのICOCAのID情報を登録することでバス・地域鉄道会社の定期券を購入できるサービス。窓口に行かなくても自宅などで定期券が購入できるようになる。また、JR西日本などの鉄道の定期券とバス・地域鉄道の定期券を、1枚のICOCAやモバイルICOCA/Apple PayのICOCAで利用可能。ただし、JR西日本などの鉄道の定期券をiCONPASSから購入することはできない。
決済はクレジットカードのほか、コンビニでの現金決済も可能。払い戻しや継続購入もWebサイト上から行なえる。証明書が必要な通学定期券等も通学証明書等をアップロードすることで購入できる。
まずは、1月15日から三岐鉄道(三重県)で定期券を発売。三岐鉄道北勢線(西桑名駅～阿下喜駅)で導入を開始し、バスや地域鉄道のIC機器での利用は3月以降に開始する。導入事業者は、2024年度末までに伊予鉄道、伊予鉄バス、広島バス、広島交通、JRバス中国(広島地区)ほか50社局以上を予定している。
今後は、iCONPASSで高齢者割引の乗車証等購入時に、マイナンバーカードを活用した本人確認を実施するなど、本人確認が必要な商品も窓口に行かずに購入できるようにする。2025年度中にサービス開始予定。
