チョルノービリ原発事故から39年 犠牲者追悼する式典開かれる
ウクライナ北部のチョルノービリ原子力発電所の事故から39年となった26日、現地で犠牲者を追悼する式典が開かれました。
ウクライナは、放射性物質の飛散を防ぐため原発に設置されたシェルターがことし2月、ロシア軍の攻撃で被害を受けたとして、原発を脅威から守るため国際社会に協力を呼びかけました。
1986年4月26日に発生したチョルノービリ原発、ロシア語でチェルノブイリ原発の事故では、消火活動にあたった消防署員などおよそ30人が大量の放射線をあびて亡くなり、地域で健康被害も広がりました。
事故から39年となった26日、現地では犠牲者を追悼する式典が開かれ、フリンチュク環境保護・天然資源相や施設の職員らが慰霊碑に花を手向けて黙とうをささげました。
ウクライナ政府は、ことし2月、チョルノービリ原発に対してロシア軍の無人機による攻撃があり、放射性物質の飛散を防ぐため設置されたシェルターの表面に穴があく深刻な被害を受けたとしています。
ウクライナ外務省は26日、声明を出し「ロシアは無人機による攻撃で世界を再び新たな大惨事の瀬戸際に追いこんだ。共同の行動だけが、ロシアのテロを阻止し、悲劇の再発を防ぐことができる」として、原発を脅威から守るためロシアに一致して対抗するよう国際社会に呼びかけました。
