新型スバル フォレスター、遂に日本で登場 カッコよく、そして快適に！

4月17日、スバルは、新型「フォレスター」の日本仕様を正式発表した。
新型フォレスターは、「Ready for Adventure ～いつでも冒険に出られる、頼れるGEAR～」をコンセプトに、一目で高い機能性や、日常から非日常までフォレスターと過ごす上質な体験を想起させるデザインにしたという。
エクステリアは、従来モデルからの進化を感じられるよう、ボリュームのある堂々としたプロポーションを実現。フロントまわりでは、フロントグリルからヘッドランプまで造形を連続させることで、ワイド感を強調するとともに、上下分割タイプのフロントバンパーを採用し、フロントマスクの厚みを表現。上部は、フォグランプを囲む造形とした。
ボディサイズは全長×全幅×全高（mm）：4655×1830×1730で、ホイールベースは2670mm。最低地上高は220mmだ。
サイドまわりは、フェンダーの張り出し感を強調し、サイドウインドウ周辺の造形に厚みを持たせることで、フロントからリヤまで軸の通った力強いボディ、走破性の高さと安心感を表現したという。
リヤまわりは、左右のコンビネーションランプをつなぐように高い位置に軸を配し、ボディ下部の厚みとワイド感を強調。また、リヤゲートガーニッシュに彫り込んだ「FORESTER」オーナメントを採用した。
ボディカラーは、新色の「リバーロック・パール」を含む、全11色のボディカラーを設定。さらに、ブラックルーフによりキャビンを引き締め、ボディの厚みを際立たせる2トーンカラーを新たに展開する。
アルミホイールはグレード毎に設定。Premiumには、19インチホイールを採用する。
インテリアのうち、インパネまわりはグレード毎に色や触感の違う素材を適所に配置し、それぞれの素材を活かした立体構成とした。センターコンソールは、上面の位置を高くすることで、操作性を向上させた。11.6インチセンターインフォメーションディスプレイやナビゲーション機能、ETC2.0車載器キットを標準装備としたのも見逃せない。そして、12.3インチフル液晶メーターをフォレスターに初採用した。
オプションで、ハーマンカードンサウンドシステムも用意。リヤクオーターに200mmのサブウーファーを搭載し、フォレスター専用にチューニングする。
リヤクオーターガラスや大型サンルーフに配したハチドリや、リヤゲートガラス下部の赤城山など、アクティブなイメージをモチーフにしたアイコンを各所に施したという。
シートは、仙骨を押さえて骨盤を支える構造と、レールを直接車体に固定する構造を採用し、身体やシートそのものの揺れを抑えるという。さらに、Premiumは撥水ファブリック/撥水トリコットやナッパレザー/ウルトラスエード®、X-BREAKには撥水ポリウレタン/合成皮革、そしてSPORTにはウルトラスエード®/合成皮革を採用し、グレード毎のキャラクターをより際立たせたという。
荷室スペースは、従来モデル同等の大きな荷室開口部と、6:4分割可倒式リヤシートによって荷室を拡張することで、大きな荷物や長尺物を搭載できる必要十分な容量スペースを確保。キックセンサー式ハンズフリーパワーリヤゲートも装備する。さらに、両サイドに荷物の固定や小物の吊り下げに便利なカーゴフックや、バーやラックなどの様々なSUBARU純正アクセサリーを装着できるユーティリティナットを採用した。
新型フォレスターの価格はストロングハイブリッド搭載モデルが、¥4,202,000〜¥4,598,000。1.8L直噴ターボエンジン搭載モデルが、¥4,048,000〜¥4,191,000。
