三菱UFJ、タブレット口座開設にeKYC 券面撮影や目視確認が不要に
三菱UFJ銀行は、店頭のタブレットを使用して普通預金口座を開設できる「タブレット口座開設」サービスにおいて、eKYC(electronic Know Your Customer、電子本人確認)による本人確認方法を導入した。マイナンバーカードや運転免許証、在留カードなどのICチップ情報を専用の個人認証カードリーダーで読み取り、真がん判定を行なう。

取得した本人情報はタブレット上に自動反映されるため、入力の手間を省き、手続きの利便性向上と時間短縮が図られる。また、券面の撮影や従業員による目視確認も不要となる。
この仕組みは、2027年4月の犯罪収益移転防止法(犯収法)の改正を見据え、キヤノンマーケティングジャパンの「本人確認支援ソリューション」と日立製作所の「eKYC支援サービス」を組み合わせて構築された。
