キユーピー ベビーフードと幼児食 来年8月末で生産終了へ

大手食品メーカーのキユーピーは、65年間続けてきたベビーフードと幼児食の生産を来年8月末で終了すると発表しました。売り上げの低迷に加え、原材料価格の高騰などが要因だということです。

発表によりますと、キユーピーは現在展開しているすべてのベビーフードと幼児食、合わせて72品目の生産を来年8月末で終了し、順次、販売も終了するということです。

会社では65年にわたってベビーフードなどを生産・販売してきましたが、近年はほかのメーカーとの競争が激しくなり、売り上げが低迷していたほか、原材料やエネルギー価格の高騰によるコストの増加などにも直面していたということです。

会社では「商品継続のためにあらゆる検討を重ね、立て直しを図ってきたが、お客様にご満足いただける品質を維持しつつ生産を継続することが困難であると判断した」などとコメントしています。
