渋谷 東急百貨店本店跡地再開発、新施設に「Bunkamuraザ・ミュージアム」
東急、L Catterton Real Estate、東急百貨店の3社が東急百貨店跡地で推進する「Shibuya Upper West Project(渋谷アッパー・ウエスト・プロジェクト)において、東急文化村が運営する「Bunkamuraザ・ミュージアム」を新施設の7階へ拡大移転することを決定した。同プロジェクトは3月11日から着工し、2029年度に竣工予定。

渋谷アッパー・ウエスト・プロジェクトは、日本初進出となるホテルブランド「The House Collective(ザ・ハウス・コレクティブ)」と賃貸レジデンスを有し、ミュージアムの移転・開業をきっかけとして、Bunkamuraとの融合を推進。新たな大型文化複合拠点とする。地上34階で高さは155.7m。7階部分がBunkamuraとなる。
プロジェクト名称にもなっている「Shibuya Upper Westエリア」とは、渋谷スクランブル交差点を中心とした渋谷駅周辺と東京を代表する高級住宅地・松濤の結節点である東急百貨店本店跡地から、富ヶ谷、上原、駒場などに向かって西側へと広がるエリアのこと。
プロジェクトのデザインアーキテクトを担当するノルウェーの建築・デザイン事務所「Snøhetta(スノヘッタ)」が、新施設の7階へ拡大移転する「Bunkamuraザ・ミュージアム」のデザインも担当。運営面だけでなく、デザイン面でも融合を図ることで、Bunkamuraブランドをさらに発展させ、渋谷のアイコンとなるミュージアムを目指す。
プロジェクトの着工地には、苔を活用した建設現場の仮囲い壁面緑化を実施。取り付け取り外しが簡単なマグネット式の苔シートを仮囲い面積320m2に大して約130m2の壁面に設置する。
所在地は東京都渋谷区道玄坂二丁目24番1号。敷地面積は約13,675m2、延床面積は119,000m2(Bunkamura含む)。
