Uber Eatsは3月9日より、初となる離島でのサービス提供を開始する。鹿児島県奄美市、沖縄県宮古島市、石垣市で展開する。 離島エリアでは、移動や買い物の手段が限られるケースも少なくないことから、地域住民の日常生活を支える選択肢の一つとなり、買い物が難しい人や高齢者世帯などの生活課題解決を目指す。 そのほか、北海道、関東、東海、近畿、中国、四国、九州でもサービス提供エリアを拡大する。
