AIコーディングツールを展開するCursorは17日、Cursor上でコードをホスティングできる機能「Origin」を提供開始した。初期ベータ版としてCursorの有料プラン向けに展開する。コードホスティングの開発プラットフォームとしては「GitHub」が標準的に使われているが、Originも同様にCursor上でコードをホストできるサービス。Originでは、リポジトリ作成、コードの検索・閲覧、GitHubリポジトリを取り込む、プルリクエスト(PR)などの機能を搭載する。 GitHubリポジトリの取り込みでは、Cursorがホストするリポジトリと並べて利用できる。GitHubをCursorに接続し、組織を選択すると、同期可能なリポジトリが表示され、選択すると、Cursorに取り込まれる。同期済みリポジトリはリアルタイムで更新され、Originのコピーを確認、検索、プルできる。プッシュは引き続きGitHubに送信され、GitHubで開始した作業は、GitHubが引き続き信頼できる情報源となる。また、閲覧中のコードについてCursorに質問できるエージェント機能も備えており、回答、変更の実施、PRの更新、ブランチのプッシュが可能となる。外部サービスとの連携にも対応し、現時点ではVercel、Depot、Buildkiteに対応。リポジトリのAppsタブからVercelを接続すると、すべてのPRでプレビューデプロイを利用でき、テストやコメントを行なえる。マージすると、本番環境にデプロイされる。
