「センチュリオン・ラウンジ」が羽田空港にオープン。「プラチナ・カード」ホルダーから利用可能
アメリカン・エキスプレス日本初のラウンジが羽田空港第3ターミナルに開設。「センチュリオン・カード」ホルダー向けのVIPエリアも用意。

アメリカン・エキスプレス・インターナショナルは、羽田空港第3ターミナル4階に日本初となるカード会員専用の「センチュリオン・ラウンジ」を開設した。営業時間は8:00から22:00まで年中無休。「プラチナ・カード」、「アメリカン・エキスプレス・ビジネス・プラチナ・カード」、「アメリカン・エキスプレス・プラチナ・コーポレート・カード」、「センチュリオン・カード」のカード会員が利用できる。
羽田のラウンジは世界で30番目。アジアではデリー、香港、ムンバイに続く4番目の開設となる。約696㎡の空間には、「ジャパン・ブルー」と呼ばれる藍色を基調とした日本文化の世界観や職人技を取り入れたデザインが施されている。
ラウンジで提供されるフードはミシュラン星付きレストラン「赤坂おぎ乃」の荻野聡士シェフが監修する。寿司やラーメンなどの日本料理に加え、和洋多彩な料理をビュッフェスタイルで楽しめる。また、お茶と和菓子を提供する専用スイーツバーや、瞑想用音響プログラムを備えたフォンブース、シャワーブースなどの設備も用意されている。
日本では各航空会社の上級会員が増え、ラウンジが過密化している。新たな選択肢となるか。その動向が注目したい。
