長良川の鵜飼い 5か月の漁を終え 鵜の健康診断 岐阜
岐阜市伝統の長良川の鵜飼いで今シーズン、5か月にわたって漁をした鵜の健康診断が17日に行われました。
長良川の鵜飼いは、10月15日まで5か月にわたって行われ、17日は3人の獣医師が鵜を操る6人の鵜匠の自宅を順番に訪れ、110羽余りの健康状態を確認しました。
このうち、鵜匠代表の杉山雅彦さんの家では、22羽の鵜すべてに感染症の予防接種をしたほか、ことし初めて川に入った若い鵜の血液検査も行いました。
杉山さんは「鵜は人間よりも暑さの影響が大きいので、たくさん水を飲ませるなど、気をつかいました。鵜飼いは鵜が主役なので、来シーズンに向けて体を休めてほしいです」と話していました。
岐阜市鵜飼観覧船事務所によりますと、今シーズンの観覧船の乗客数は8万3768人と去年より1万人以上増え、新型コロナの影響が拡大した2020年以降で最も多くなりました。
