猫と心地よく暮らすことをテーマにした展覧会「木と猫」をKarimoku Commons Tokyoで開催──「KARIMOKU CAT」から新作も発売
東京の西麻布にあるギャラリースペースKarimoku Commons Tokyoにて、8月2日（土）から、猫と木の心地よい共生をテーマにした展覧会「木と猫」が開催される。会場では新製品の実物展示も行われる。

Karimoku Commons Tokyoでは、2025年8月2日（土）から8月30日（土）までの間、1階のギャラリースペースにて、「KARIMOKU CAT」の世界観を体感できる展覧会「木と猫」を開催する。本展は、「Cat first.」を理念に、猫の目線を第一に考えてプロダクトを生み出してきた「KARIMOKU CAT」のディレクター・梁原正寛のディレクションによる展覧会で、猫と暮らす日常の中にある温もりや美しさを空間を通じて表現する企画展となる。
会場は2つの展示エリアで構成され、ひとつはブランド誕生の原点となったキャットツリー「Modern Cat Tree NEKO」を再設計し、カリモク家具が新たに製作した本展限定モデル「Modern Cat Tree NEKO – Karimoku Edition」を展示。
「モダニズム建築の空間にも馴染む美しい猫用遊戯家具をつくる」という発想から生まれた「Modern Cat Tree NEKO」は、見た目はアートピースのように美しく、キャットツリーとしての機能も備えたデザインで、2018年に数量限定で販売された。その「Modern Cat Tree NEKO」
を本展のために再構築した「Modern Cat Tree NEKO – Karimoku Edition」は、天然木の特性を活かし、カリモク家具の職人の手によって丁寧に仕上げられた滑らかな曲線が特徴で、猫にとって心地よい上下運動を自然に導き、安心感と遊び心を満たす設計になっている。最高品質の天然素材を用い、実用性と芸術性を兼ね備えたこの特別なキャットツリーには、猫にも人にも心地よい空間を実現する、深い思いが込められている。
もう一つの展示エリアでは、空間から考える家具をコンセプトに掲げる家具ブランド「Karimoku Case」と「KARIMOKU CAT」のプロダクトを組み合わせ、猫と人がともに心安らぐ住空間を提案。「Karimoku Case」の家具に加え、インテリアスタイリストの竹内優介によるスタイリングが施された空間は、実際の生活シーンを想起させる構成となっており、新作のスツール「KARIMOKU CAT NEST」や、香箱座りをする猫とモチーフにした木製のオブジェ「Koubako Neko / Koubako Koneko」などのプロダクトを、日常の暮らしを想定したリアルな暮らしの文脈のなかで体験することができる。
また、本展の開催に合わせ、8月2日（土）より、新製品「KARIMOKU CAT NEST」と「Koubako Neko / Koubako Koneko」を発売。これらのプロダクトはKARIMOKU CATオフィシャルオンラインストアに加え、「木と猫」展の会場でも、実物を見ながら購入することが可能だ。
「KARIMOKU CAT NEST」は、猫にも人にも優しい、安定感のある四角形でありながら、角が取れた丸みのあるフォルムが特徴。クリの無垢材を使用し、永く愛用できるアイテム。
「KARIMOKU CAT NEST」Large ¥96,800（W850×D390×H390mm）、Small ¥49,500（W390×D390×H390mm）先行販売、2025年10月以降順次発送予定。
「Koubako Neko / Koubako Koneko」は、香箱座りをする猫のリラックスした姿を模したオブジェ。背中からお尻にかけてのなめらかな形状が特徴で、インテリアに馴染みやすく、大小セットで飾れば親子の猫のように楽しむこともできる。
