戦艦大和 沈没から80年で追悼式 広島 呉
旧日本海軍の戦艦大和が鹿児島県沖で沈没してから7日で80年になります。大和が建造された広島県呉市では追悼式が開かれ、多くの人が参列しました。
戦艦大和は呉市の旧海軍工廠（こうしょう）で建造された当時、世界最大の戦艦でしたが、太平洋戦争末期の昭和20年4月7日、沖縄に向かう途中の鹿児島県沖でアメリカ軍の攻撃を受けて沈没し、3332人の乗組員のうち3056人が死亡しました。
沈没から80年となった7日、呉市の「旧呉海軍墓地」では乗組員の遺族などでつくる「戦艦大和会」が追悼式を開き、およそ300人が出席しました。
式では黙とうがささげられたあと、小笠原臣也会長が「次の世代への伝承を通して世界平和の維持に貢献することが英霊の委託に応える道だと確信しています」と式辞を述べました。
このあと、参列した遺族などが祭壇に花を手向けて亡くなった乗組員たちを追悼しました。
乗組員だった父を亡くした岡山県の84歳の男性は、「また会えたなという思いで花をささげました。父が出征するときの様子も、戦死したと知らされたときのことも鮮明に覚えています。戦争の裏には犠牲者がいるので、絶対にいけないと思います」と話していました。
