警察は、乗用車を運転していた市内に住む会社員、鶴巻光容疑者（47）を過失運転傷害の疑いでその場で逮捕しました。
現場は上越新幹線が停車するJR燕三条駅に近い商業施設が建ち並ぶ地域で、警察が詳しい状況を調べています。
