アフガニスタン東部のヌリスタン州では20日、州都パルンと近隣の地域で大雨による洪水が発生しました。

地元の災害当局によりますと、この洪水で21日までに23人が死亡し80人以上がけがをしたほか、100人以上の行方が分からなくなっているということです。

現地では家屋や商店のほか宿泊施設などにも被害が出ていて、地元の当局が捜索や救助活動を続けています。

アフガニスタンでは5年前にイスラム主義勢力タリバンが実権を握ったあとも厳しい経済状況が続き、治水対策などのインフラ整備が進んでおらず、洪水による大きな被害がたびたび発生しています。
