4月11日、TOYOTA GAZOO Racing（以下、TGR）は、新しい「GRヤリス」の価格などを発表した。
新しいGRヤリスは、2024年発表のGRヤリスで搭載した、GR-DATの性能を向上させた。Dレンジ走行中のパドル操作でダウンシフト可能な車速領域を拡張（2速→1速）、パドル操作から変速開始までの時間を短縮、さらにマニュアルモードではスポーツモード選択時、レッドゾーン付近でのダイレクト感を向上。スポーツ走行時の応答性を高めた。さらに、エンジン回転数の上昇が遅くなる登坂勾配では、シフトアップタイミングを少し遅らせることでシフトアップ後も高出力を維持する。
加えてシャシー部品の締結ボルトの一部に締結剛性の高い特別なボルトを採用。ステアリング操作に対する応答性と直進安定性を向上し、クルマとの一体感を進化させたという。
上記のボルトの変更や、その他一部のボルト類の締結トルクアップに合わせて、サスペンションセッティングを再適合。ショックアブソーバーの減衰力を調整することで、コントロールと乗り心地の両立を図った。また、EPSチューニングでは、ステアリングのリニア感（ステアリングを切った量に対し、1:1で操舵感が得られる感覚）の向上を目指し、何度も改善を繰り返したという。グレードごとに異なる特性が与えられており、RZ“High performance”用は、サーキットを攻め込むことを念頭に、限界域での速さとコントロール性を追求。RZ用は、ワインディングからサーキットまで幅広いシーンで極めて俊敏なGRヤリスのハンドリングパフォーマンスを引き出すそうだ。
インテリアでは、AT車のフットレストの面積を拡大することで、踏み込み時の操作性を向上させた。また、縦引きパーキングブレーキをメーカーオプションとしてRCグレードに設定していたが、当モデルより全グレードで選択可能となった。
運転支援装備では、RCグレードにメーカーオプション設定としていたToyota Safety Senseを、RZ“High performance”、RZと同様に全車標準装備とした。
価格はRC（6MT）の¥3,560,000から、RZ“High performance”（GR-DAT）の¥5,330,000まで。新しいオプションの「エアロパフォーマンスパッケージ」については別記事で紹介する。
