ヴィンテージシャツ旋風、真っ最中！──ベルベルジン・ディレクター、藤原裕「ヴィンテージ百景」
藤原裕が最近ひしひしと肌で感じているのがヴィンテージシャツブーム。注目のラインアップを紹介する。
【写真を見る】今のうちに手に入れたいヴィンテージシャツ！
こんにちは、藤原裕です。毎日暑い日が続き、夏ファッションを楽しむには最適ですね。昨年まではTシャツにヴィンテージジーンズ、足元はスニーカーというファッションが定番でしたが、最近はヴィンテージシャツに足元にオールデンといったレザーシューズを合わせるクラシックなスタイルばかりです。もしかしたらトレンドに変化の兆しが現れているかもしれませんね。
さて、酷暑の中、シャンブレーやプリントネルなど、1950年代頃のワーク系を中心にロングスリーブを腕まくりをして着ています。ヴィンテージのワークシャツならではのマチや猫目ボタン、変形ポケットといったディテールやデザインが昔から大好きで、ブランドでいうとビッグヤンクやピルグリム、ヘッドライトなどは何枚買ったかわからないくらいほど。自宅のストックルームで壁面化しております。またここ数年にわたるスウェットやパーカ、Tシャツの価格高騰もあり、シャツの価格が意外と安定していました。なので、ここぞとばかりに買い込んでいたんです。古いものでは30年代製のものから、今夏に着たいシャツがてんこ盛り。朝昼晩でお色直ししようかなと。今夏の1軍シャツを紹介します！
■パーヴァルのシャンブレーシャツ
通常のシャンブレーよりも生地が厚い。「前立て部分がダブルステッチになっている点が、30年代製のシャツの特徴です。しかも猫目ボタンを使った王道デザイン。マイナーなブランドですが、ワンウォッシュのミントコンディションでかなり気に入っています」
■リーのワークシャツ
1920年代からチンストラップシャツが存在するほどリーのワークシャツの歴史は深い。「こちらは50年代のもので、ジーンズでいうところのセンター黒タグの時代。チノ地のシャツはオーソドックスなワークシャツで、今はこの辺も気になっています。この手のシャツはまだ安価で流通しているので、ワークシャツビギナーにはおすすめです」
■アンクルサムのコットンプリントシャツ
カラフルなプリントデザインが目をひく50年代の逸品。「ダブルポケットと呼ばれる、間口が二重になった作りのポケットで有名なブランドです。ちなみにこれはベーシックな2ポケット。シアーズ系列のブランドということもあり、ダブルステッチの襟や皿ボタン、さらに裾にマチのない作りなどほかのシーアズのシャツと同様の仕立てが特徴。ポップな見た目ですが、環境破壊へのメッセージがプリントされるなど社会問題への提議がされたデザインです。
■ヘッドライトのプリントネル
ヘッドライトといえば、カバーオールやエンジンジャケット、オーバーオールなどの印象が強く、ネルシャツは珍しい。「おそらく1950年代のものです。ブルーのギンガムチェックに赤で、クラウン（王冠）がプリントされたもの。当時はクラウンというワークウェアブランドも存在していて、ヘッドライトとクラウンは、同じ工場で作られていたと言われています。これは王冠柄なのでクラウンのシャツと思いきや、実はヘッドライトという珍品です」
■ビッグヤンクのワークシャツ
ビッグヤンクのワークシャツは、“山ポケ”や“ガチャポケ”のディテールが有名だ。こちらは古いものなのに、ポケットにフラップがついただけのもの。袖口はブランドの代名詞のひとつであるストームカフスを採用。「細めのヘリンボーン地を使った薄手のシャツ。猫目のシェルという珍しいボタンを使用しており、前立てはシングルステッチなので40年代のものと思われます。色落ちのしにくいVAT染め色の加工を施しています」
■ピルグリムのプリントネル
人気が高まっているプリントネルは、有名ブランドともなると価値も倍増する。「ピルグリムは人気ブランドのひとつ。しかもシルエットがボックスタイプでないのと黒×白の格子柄は珍しい。50年代製の裾にマチがあり、サイズも16ハーフと文句なしです」
■藤原裕（ふじはら・ゆたか）
ベルベルジン・ディレクター
原宿のヴィンテージショップ「ベルベルジン」顔役。ヴィンテージデニムマイスターとしても認知されている一方、多くのブランドでデニムをプロデュースするなど、現在のデニム人気を担っている。シャツスタイルが増えたゆえに、そろそろタックインして着たいユタカ。しかし裾をいれると腹回りが樽のようになるのが気になってしまう。低糖質の栗焼酎ソーダ割りをすだちを絞って10杯、高タンパクな砂肝燻製焼きと冷奴の豆鼓醤添え、ミネラル豊富な若ネギとわかめの塩麹ヌタなどなど。居酒屋で選ぶメニューはどれもヘルシーなのに増量傾向が続くのはなぜか──。え？ 酒なの〜？ 知らなかったよ〜。
