マイクロソフト さらに9000人規模の従業員 削減の方針
アメリカのIT大手、マイクロソフトは2日、2025年5月に発表したおよそ6000人の人員削減に加えて、さらに9000人規模の削減に踏み切る方針を明らかにしました。AI＝人工知能の開発に伴う経営資源の集中や、業務の効率化が背景にあるとみられています。
マイクロソフトは2日、従業員全体の4％近くを削減することを明らかにしました。
会社の発表資料によりますと、従業員の数は2024年6月時点でおよそ22万8000人となっていて、削減は9000人規模になるとみられています。
会社は2025年5月にもおよそ6000人を削減する方針を発表したばかりです。
マイクロソフトは、「変化の激しい市場環境において、会社とチームが成功を収めるために必要な組織改革を継続的に実施している」とコメントしていて、管理職を減らし、業務プロセスを簡素化して、効率化をはかりたい考えです。
アメリカのメディアは、AIの開発に伴う投資額が膨らむ中、経営資源を集中させる必要があることや、AIの導入によって業務の効率化が進んでいることが背景にあると指摘しています。
