原爆死没者の遺骨 広島市の寺で見つかり原爆供養塔に安置
広島市の寺で保管されていた原爆死没者の遺骨が見つかり、28日、原爆供養塔に安置されました。市によりますと、原爆死没者の遺骨を新たに引き受けるのは2021年以来だということです。
広島市によりますと、去年10月、広島市安佐北区にある教蓮寺で、本堂の改修工事中に段ボール箱に保管されていた遺骨や遺灰が見つかりました。
段ボール箱に「原爆」などと書かれていたほか、警察の鑑定で事件性がないと確認されたことなどから、市は原爆死没者の遺骨と断定しました。
原爆でけがをしたあと亡くなった人の遺骨がこの寺に運ばれたという地元の人の証言が残されているということで、市は今回の遺骨ではないかとみています。
寺は、遺骨を4つの骨つぼに、遺灰を11の木箱に入れて28日、市に引き渡し、原爆供養塔に安置されました。
市によりますと、原爆死没者の遺骨を引き受けるのは、2021年以来だということです。
原爆供養塔には今も身元が分からなかったり、名前が分かっていても遺族が判明していなかったりする原爆の犠牲者およそ7万人の遺骨が納められています。
