BYD Auto Japanは28日、海外自動車メーカーとして初となる、日本の軽自動車規格専用設計の軽EV「BYD RACCO」を発売した。ラインナップは「RACCO 200」「RACCO 300Plus」「RACCO 300Premium」の2モデル3グレードで、価格は214万5,000円～249万7,000円。ボディカラーは全6色。 BYD RACCOは、軽自動車規格にあわせて開発された電気自動車。SDV(Software Defined Vehicle)ベースで設計し、OTAによる車載ソフトウェアの更新に対応する。満充電時の航続距離は国土交通省審査値で210～320km。車両には、新設計の統合型EV技術「X-PACK」を採用。バッテリーや制御ユニットなどをバッテリーユニット内に統合し、限られた車体サイズの中で安全性と居住空間の確保を図った。シャーシには、約70%の高強度鋼板を採用し、左右の電動スライドドアも備える。駆動用バッテリーの容量保証は8年または16万kmで、有償延長保証(18,000円)により10年または20万kmまで延長できる。一般的な車両保証は6年または15万km、ロードアシスタンスは6年間・24時間365日対応する。据置型ローン「ラッコ楽っとローン」も用意し、RACCO 200をCEV補助金15万円、頭金・ボーナス払いなし、5年60回払いで購入した場合、月額は19,300円となる。
