セブン‐イレブン・ジャパンは、Tesla Japanが展開するテスラ製EV用急速充電設備スーパーチャージャーをセブン‐イレブンとして初導入。7月11日からセブン‐イレブン川崎子母口東店(神奈川県川崎市)で運用を開始した。利用料金は充電出力により異なり、1分あたり37～200円。テスラのNACS規格に対応したスーパーチャージャーをセブン‐イレブン店舗に設置し、より快適で選択肢の広い充電環境の整備を進める。最大出力250kWの高出力により約15〜30分で実用上十分な充電回復が見込めることから、買い物ついでの充電に利用できるとしている。今後は、駐車場スペースが広い店舗などを中心に設置を検討し、順次導入を進める。26年度中に約10店への導入を予定している。セブン‐イレブン川崎子母口東店では4基(4台分)を設置。店舗所在地は神奈川県川崎市高津区子母口496。テスラのスーパーチャージャーは、日本国内では全国150カ所、744基が運用されている(26年5月末時点)。国内コンビニ初導入は、23年6月のファミリーマート所沢インター店。
