Google Pixel、「詐欺検出」や「複数カメラ連携」など新機能
Googleは、Pixelシリーズの最新機能アップデート「3月のPixel Drop」として新機能を発表した。AIを活用した詐欺電話・メッセージの「リアルタイム詐欺検出」機能や、GoProや他のPixelスマートフォンと連携し、複数視点からのライブ配信が可能になる「Connected Cameras」などが発表された。

■ 詐欺電話・メッセージを防ぐアラート機能
近年、電話やメッセージを利用した詐欺が増加傾向にあるとし、2024年には世界中で1兆ドルを超える被害が発生したといわれている。新機能の「リアルタイム詐欺検出」は、オンデバイスAIを利用し、詐欺と共通する会話パターンをリアルタイムで検出する。例えば、銀行員を名乗る人物が送金を要求する場合、音声やバイブレーションによる警告、ポップアップ通知などでユーザーに注意を促す。通話音声や文字起こしデータはデバイス内に保持され、Googleサーバーへ送信されない。メッセージにおける詐欺検出も同様に、ユーザーが報告しない限りデータはデバイス外へ共有されない。
■ 複数視点でライブ配信
「Connected Cameras」機能では、Pixel 9シリーズでGoProや他のPixelスマートフォンのカメラと連携し、複数視点からのライブ配信が可能になる。アンボクサー(商品開封の様子を配信する人)、料理、ゲーム、美容など、コンテンツクリエイターの利用を想定している。
■ 「デバイスを探す」で位置共有可能に
「Find My Device(デバイスを探す)」アプリの新しい位置情報共有機能では、信頼できる連絡先とリアルタイムの位置情報を共有できる。日常的な待ち合わせや家族の安全確認、緊急時における連絡などに役立つ。
■ Pixel Watch 3にもアップデート
Pixel Watch 3では、「脈拍喪失検出」機能を搭載する。心拍センサーが脈拍の喪失を検知した場合、AIアルゴリズムが他の入力情報と組み合わせて確認し、緊急サービスへの通報を促す。この機能は、2025年3月末までに提供される。
■ Pixel Studioでステッカー作成 ほか
Pixel Studioでは、テキストプロンプトから人物画像を生成し、ステッカーを作成できる。ゲームや3Dカートゥーンなど、スタイルを選択可能。
スクリーンショット整理機能は、オンデバイスAIにより自動的にコレクションへの追加を提案し、検索を効率化する。Pixelの衛星通信のサポート範囲も拡大。米通信キャリアのT-MobileとVerizonユーザー向けに、セルラーやWi-Fiがない場所でもテキストメッセージや緊急通報を可能にする。
その他、歩数計の精度向上、Pixel Watch 3におけるFitbitアプリでの月経周期トラッキング、Pixel Watch 2における自動ベッドタイムモードなどの機能改善や軽微なバグ修正が含まれる。
アップデートは、Pixel 6～Pixel 9/Pro、Pixel Watchシリーズ(一部)などで、今後数週間で順次利用可能となる。また、一部の国や地域では利用できない機能もあるとしている。
