「ル ラボ代官山店」がリニューアル──ラボを路面沿いに大胆に配置
「ル ラボ」が代官山店を全面刷新。伝統的な浮造り仕上げと現代建築が融合した新空間が誕生した。

フレグランスブランドのル ラボ（Le Labo）が、2007年の開店以来18年ぶりに代官山店を全面リニューアル。デザインコードをアップデートし、モルタルと杉を主体とした新たな空間になった。
今回のリニューアルは、建築家の長坂常（スキーマ建築計画）が設計を担当。既存のコンクリート構造を活かしながら、杉材を使った伝統的な浮造り仕上げを取り入れた。木材の型枠をモルタルに埋め込むことで木目を浮き立たせ、素材と記憶の対話を表現している。
また、香りの調合を行うラボエリアを店舗の路面側に配置したことに注目したい。ガラス窓越しに職人の手作業を間近で見ることができ、ル ラボの哲学がよりわかりやすく表現されている。これまで開放していなかった2階も刷新。シンクとライブラリー、シーティングエリアを新設した。
デボラ・ロイヤー（グローバル ブランド プレジデント＆クリエイティブ ディレクター）は「既存の精神を変えるのではなく、より深く耳を澄まし、意図を持って進化させるため」と改装の意図を語る。
