松屋が稲作 水を張らない田での水稲栽培実証
松屋フーズ、NEWGREEN、芙蓉総合リースの3社は、水を張らない田に種籾を播いて栽培する水稲の直播・節水型栽培の共同実証を進めている。

水稲の直播・節水型栽培とは、水を張らない田に種籾を直接播き、その後湛水することなく雨水や走水といった補水のみで栽培する節水型の水稲栽培方法。バイオスティミュラント資材を使用し、稲の栄養素吸収率を高めることで水稲種の乾田栽培を可能とする。
取り組みの背景には、農業人口の高齢化や減少による急速な農地集約の必要性、生産コストの高騰、温室効果ガスの排出抑制といった、日本の農業が抱える課題がある。実証を行なう栽培方法は、育苗・田植えや水管理の省力化による労働工数の劇的な低減、農業分野で排出される温室効果ガスの多くを占めるメタンガスの削減効果が期待できるという。
松屋フーズと芙蓉リースは日本の農業における課題解決の手段の一つとして本栽培方法に着目し、本栽培方法に必要な資材の販売や栽培マニュアルの作成などを行なっているNEWGREENと共に実証するに至った。
実証は千葉県木更津市で実施。松屋フーズの商品としての提供を念頭に置いた収量・品質検証を行なうほか、本栽培方法がもたらす環境価値の活用余地を検討する。
実証の中で松屋フーズは、自社の商品としての提供や自社での稲作参入を念頭に置き、実証のプロセスおよび収穫物の検証・評価を行なう。
NEWGREENは資材提供や稲作指導を担う。芙蓉リースは共同事業者として実証の資金を支援するとともに、これまでのカーボンクレジット創出プロジェクトへの参画で得たノウハウや知見を活かし、本栽培方法の環境価値の活用に関しての検討を行なう。
