7月22日、トヨタの北米法人は、2026年型の新しい「セコイア」を発表した。
現行セコイアは2022年登場の3代目。日本未導入のフルサイズSUVで、後輪駆動ベースのプラットフォームを使う。全長は5.2m超と、日本でも販売されているキャデラック「エスカレード」などに匹敵する大きだ。
新しいトヨタ セコイアは、内外装をアップデート。ボディカラーは、TRD Pro グレードにのみ「Wave Maker」と呼ぶ新色を用意した。
「Capstone」グレードでは、新しいレザーを採用。「Limited」グレードでは、ブラックとグレーのレザーを用意。前者はホワイトステッチを、後者はブラックステッチをあしらう。電動格納式の3列目シートは、全グレードに標準化された。
搭載するパワートレインは全車、パワフルなV6ツインターボハイブリッドシステム「i-FORCE MAX」で、10速オートマチックトランスミッションを組み合わせる。システム総合出力は437psだ。
新しいトヨタ セコイアの日本導入は未定。
