小型AIレコーダのPLAUD、1年で21倍の成長 B2B強化へ
小型AIレコーダの「PLAUD Note」および「PLAUD NotePin」を展開するPLAUD AIは24日、「PLAUD.AI メディアカンファレンス 2025」を開催した。カンファレンスでは、PLAUD AIの2024年の振り返りや、今年の事業戦略などを発表した。

PLAUD Note/NotePinは、スマホと連携するボイスレコーダ機能と、文字起こしや会話の要約、マインドマップの作成など、AIを活用した小型レコーダ。
2024年、日本市場における売上は前年比21倍と急成長を遂げた。年末時点での販売店舗は全国280カ所に達し、同年1月に発売したPLAUD Noteは、アマゾンジャパンで春の売上が127％増を記録するなど、市場での存在感を高めた。12月時点で、日本における出荷台数は世界第2位を達成し、国内ユーザー数は8万人を超えたという。
2025年の重点施策として法人向け事業の拡大を掲げる。法人向けソリューションの「PLAUD for Business」を立ち上げ、業界ごとの業務に対応するテンプレートや、カスタマイズ可能な用語集、強化されたAsk AI、チームコラボレーション、利用状況の分析、請求書の一括管理機能などを用意する。また、セキュリティ面では、ISO 27001認証の取得やHIPAA準拠の対応を進め、企業ニーズに対応する体制を整えるとしている。
一般ユーザー向けの販売施策も引き続き強化するとし、オンライン・オフラインを通じて購入しやすい環境を整備する。
国内法人設立も完了しており、現在は渋谷を拠点に日本人スタッフが在籍。サンフランシスコの開発チームとの連携のもと、日本市場に最適化された製品とサポートの提供を進める。今後は、エンジニア採用や、日本の大手IT企業との連携も視野に入れるほか、日本国内でのデータセンター設置も視野に入れており、将来的には国内でのデータ保管に対応した体制構築を進めるとしている。
PLAUD AI 共同創業者 兼 CEOのネイサン・シュー氏は、「もし日本を単なる市場と考えるだけなら、わざわざ日本に法人を設立する必要はありません。アメリカ本社から製品を送って売るだけで済む話です。でも私たちはそうは考えていません。日本のコミュニティに貢献したいと思っています。だからこそ日本に投資し、現地で人を雇い、開発もサポートも日本で完結できるようにする。その覚悟を持って展開しています。」と、日本市場への強いコミットメントを示した。
