　同業他社の動きを見れば、韓国の半導体大手サムスン電子は2023年5月、第5世代となる12ナノメートルプロセスのメモリー製品の量産開始を発表、26年2月には、第6世代プロセスを採用したHBM4(第4世代高帯域幅メモリー)の量産開始を宣言した。HBMは複数のDRAMチップを垂直に積み重ねたもので、AI(人工知能)向け需要が爆発的に増加している。　韓国の半導体大手のSKハイニックスとアメリカの半導体大手マイクロン・テクノロジーも、第6世代技術による製品の量産・出荷をすでに開始している。

　今回の世界製造業大会でCXMTは、G5基幹技術で作られたLPDDR5X(第5世代低消費電力・ダブルデータレート・メモリーの改良版)の量産型製品2種類も同時に展示された。メモリーを構成するチップ1個当たりの容量は24Gb(ギガビット)と25年11月に長鑫科技が発表した前世代製品と比べ50％増加した。同年、スマートフォン大手の小米(シャオミ)が高価格帯モデルにこのLPDDR5Xを搭載している。　CXMTは8月28日、株式上場後初となる半期決算を発表し、LPDDR6の研究開発の進展についても披露した。それによると、性能は前世代のLPDDR5Xから全面的に向上し、データ転送速度のピーク値は12800Mbpsに達する。チップ1個当たりの最大容量は16Gbとしている。

■メモリー需給の逼迫続く　中国の市場調査会社チャイナ・フラッシュ・マーケット(CFM)の統計によると、26年4〜6月期の世界DRAM市場規模は1470億2400万ドル(約23兆円)となり、前四半期比55.9％増と過去最高を更新。このうちCXMTは同四半期に995億1000万元(約2兆3300億円)の売上高を計上し、前四半期比96％増となった。世界市場でのシェアは10％に迫り、順位は世界4位となった。

　26年下期(7〜12月)の市場見通しについて、CXMTは「メモリーの供給不足は28年4〜6月期まで続くとみている。今後半年間も価格上昇傾向が続き、メモリー価格は7〜9月期に前四半期比20％、10〜12月期に同10％上昇する見通しだ。27年以降は前四半期比の上昇率は1桁台にとどまる」としている。　UBS証券の中国科学技術業界調査責任者である兪佳氏は、27年のメモリー価格について「26年と比べてなお40％以上値上がりする」との見方を示している。CXMTは26年1〜6月期決算での純利益が776億元と、23億元の赤字だった前年同期から黒字転換を果たしたばかりだが、世界的なメモリー不足によって業績面での追い風はしばらく続きそうだ・
