イラン情勢受け円安進む 片山財務相 “万全の対応をとる”
イラン情勢を受けて外国為替市場で円安が進んでいることについて、片山財務大臣は、原油価格の高騰などが為替を通じて国民生活に及ぼす影響を念頭に万全の対応をとる考えを強調しました。
外国為替市場ではアメリカなどとイランの攻撃の応酬が長期化するという見方から有事に強いとされるドルを買って円を売る動きが進み、円相場はおよそ1か月半ぶりの円安水準となる1ドル＝159円をつけました。
こうした動きについて片山財務大臣は13日の閣議のあとの会見で、「中東情勢を受けて為替を含む金融市場に大きな変動が生じていることは確かだ。原油価格が高騰する中、為替が国民生活に与える影響を念頭に、いかなる時も万全の対応をとるスタンスだ」と述べました。
一方、この局面で政府・日銀による市場介入は難しいのではないかと問われたのに対し、「アメリカのベッセント財務長官も出席した最近のG7＝主要7か国の会合でも為替も含めた金融市場は話題になっていたが、この点についてはコメントは差し控えるべきだと思う。いずれにしても米国当局とは日頃より非常に緊密に連絡を取り合っている」と述べました。
