Sony Bank WALLET、Apple Payに対応
ソニー銀行は3月3日、Visaデビット一体型キャッシュカードの「Sony Bank WALLET」をApple Payに対応した。これにより、Sony Bank WALLETカードをApple Payに設定し、国内外のVisa加盟店でタッチ決済、Apple Payに対応したオンライン決済などを利用できるようになる。

従来、店舗での支払いはカードが必要だったがApple Pay対応により、スーパー、ドラッグストア、飲食店、コンビニなど、Visaのタッチ決済に対応する店舗でSony Bank WALLETをApple Payで利用できるようになる。
ソニー銀行では、Apple Payへの対応開始を記念し、Apple Payに「Sony Bank WALLET」を設定したユーザー全員を対象に、Apple Gift Card 200円分をプレゼントするキャンペーンを実施する。期間は3月3日～4月10日。Apple Payに登録後、4月下旬までに登録しているメールアドレスにApple Gift Cardの引き換えページを案内するとしている。
今回のApple Pay対応は、ビザ・ワールドワイド・ジャパンが、日本でのVisaデビットカードのApple Payに対応開始したことによるもの。ソニー銀行のほか、Revolut、三菱UFJ銀行のデビットカードもApple Payに対応する。
