10代と写真作家が表現する、自分だけの「見方」──「GAKU」による写真展「between A and B」が日本橋三井本館にて開催中
10代のためのクリエーションの学び舎「ガク（GAKU）」が、10月20日（日）から10月27日（日）までの8日間、重要文化財「日本橋三井本館」をはじめとした複数の会場にて、写真展「between A and B」を開催している。

ガクは、10代の若者を対象に、音楽、建築、演劇、食、ファッション、デザイン、アートなど、様々なジャンルで活躍するクリエイターを講師として迎え、授業を行う学びの場だ。授業を通じてクリエイティブな感性や本質的な知識、そして自己と他者の原点を理解する精神を育むことで、学生たちのこれからの人生を豊かにするだけでなく、多種多様な人々にとって生きやすい社会の土台づくりを目指し活動している。
今回の写真展は、日本橋三井本館と日本橋三井タワー1階のアトリウムをメイン会場に開催される。暗室をイメージした4つの空間では、国内外で活躍する、4組の写真作家がそれぞれ新作や初期作品を自由に展示している。
オノデラユキは、既存の写真の概念に囚われず、「撮る」のではなく「カメラを使って作品を創り出す」という独自の手法で。これまでに30以上のシリーズを発表している写真家だ。毎回異なるスタイルと制作手法を取り入れることで、写真表現の新たな可能性を常に探求している。
濱田祐史は、写真の原理に基づいた独自の技法で「見えるもの」と「見えないもの」に迫り、新しい視点を生み出す作品を制作している。
田中義久と飯田竜太によるアーティストデュオ、ネルホル（Nerhol）は、グラフィックデザインと彫刻の要素を融合させ、写真と彫刻の境界を行き来する作品を制作しており、自然と人間社会の相互関係を描き出している。
迫鉄平は、日常の中で偶然出会った風景を「決定的瞬間」として捉えるスナップ写真で知られている。連続する写真を映像で表現する作品が特徴だ。
そして、ガクで「自分だけの『見方』をつくる」を学んだ12名の生徒による作品も展示される。
出展作家であり、今回の展示のキュレーターを務める濱田祐史は以下のように述べている。
「私たちの生活は、「写っている」ものや「見えている」ことに焦点を当てることで成り立っています。ただ、そこにだけにとどまらず「写っていない」ものや「見えない」ことを想像の余白と捉えて向き合うと、言語化不能な魅力や解釈の自由さと出会えることがあります。答えではなく「問い」そのものを見出すこと。その喜びは、写真特有のものかもしれません。他の誰かのように生きること。それが生きやすさとつながっている世の中で、自分だけの「ものの見方」をつくるということは、どのような意味を持つのでしょうか?」
