新iPad Air登場 M3チップ搭載で99800円から 新iPadも
アップルは4日、M3チップを搭載した新iPad Airシリーズを発表した。3月4日から予約を開始し、12日から発売する。11インチと13インチの2サイズ展開で、11インチのiPad Airは、Wi-Fiモデルが98,800円から、Wi-Fi + Cellularモデルが124,800円から。13インチのiPad Airは、Wi-Fiが128,800円から、Wi-Fi + Cellularが154,800円からとなる。

ストレージは、128GB、256GB、512GB、1TBが用意され、ブルー、パープル、スターライト、スペースグレイの4色展開。また、あわせて利用できる新しいMagic Keyboardも発売され、価格は46,800円(11インチ用)/49,800円(13インチ用)。さらに、A16チップ搭載の新しいiPadも発表されている。
■ M3搭載iPad Air
iPad AirがM3チップを搭載してリニューアル。「M1搭載のiPad Airよりも2倍近く高速で、A14 Bionic搭載のiPad Airよりも最大3.5倍高速」としており、グラフィック性能の強化によるゲーム体験の向上や、Neural EngineによるAI処理性能の強化をアピールしている。
iPadOS 18を搭載し、Apple Intelligenceに対応。また、Apple Pencil ProとApple Pencil(USB-C)に対応する。Apple M3チップは、4つの高性能コアと4つの高効率コアを搭載した8コアCPUと、9コアGPU、16コアNeural Engine、ハードウェアアクセラレーテッドレイトレーシング、8GB RAMなどを統合している。
M3の搭載以外の多くの仕様は、2024年発売のM2搭載iPad Airを継承している。ディスプレイは「Liquid Retina」で、解像度は11インチが2,360×1,640ドット、13インチが2,732×2,048ドット。反射防止スクリーンコーティング、True Toneテクノロジー、P3の広色域にも対応する。輝度は11インチが500ニト、13インチが600ニト。
カメラは1,200万画素で、最大5倍のデジタルズームやFocus Pixelsを使ったオートフォーカス、パノラマ撮影、スマートHDR 4などに対応。手ぶれ補正機能も搭載する。4K/60pの動画撮影や1080pスローモーションビデオ(120fps/240fps)などに対応する。フロントカメラは、1,200万画素で、FaceTimeやセンターフレームなどに対応。ビデオ通話では、FaceTimeビデオでのポートレートモード、空間オーディオ、「声を分離」と「ワイドスペクトル」のマイクモードなどに対応する。
スピーカーはステレオ。Wi-Fi + CellularモデルのSIMはeSIMのみ。センサーは指紋を使った「Touch ID」、インターフェイスはUSB Type-C。バッテリ持続時間はビデオ再生時で最大10時間(Wi-Fi)。
外形寸法と重量(Wi-Fiモデル)は、11インチが247.6×178.5×6.1mm/460g、13インチが280.6×214.9×6.1mm/616g。20W USB-C電源アダプタとUSB Type-Cケーブルが付属する。

■ 新しいMagic Keyboard
新しいMagic Keyboardは、11インチモデル用が46,800円、13インチ用が49,800円。
より大きな内蔵トラックパッドは、細かい作業のための精度を向上。新たに用意された14のファンクションキー列により、画面の明るさや音量の調節などの機能に簡単にアクセスできるようにした。
新しいMagic KeyboardはiPad Airにマグネットで取りつけられ、Smart Connectorによって、Bluetoothを使わずに電源やデータにつながる。アルミニウム製のヒンジには、充電用のUSB-Cコネクタも備えている。
■ 新しいiPad
A16搭載の新しいiPadは、3月4日から予約注文を開始し、12日から発売。ストレージは128GB、256GB、512GBの3種類で、カラーはブルー、ピンク、イエロー、シルバーから選択できる。価格はWi-Fiモデルが58,800円から、Wi-Fi + Cellularモデルが84,800円から。
ディスプレイは11インチ/2,360×1,640ピクセルのLiquid Retina。Apple Pencil(USB-C)とApple Pencil(第1世代)に対応する。カメラはフロント/リアともに12メガピクセル。センサーはTouch ID。外形寸法は248.6×179.5×7mm、重量は477g(Wi-Fi)。なおA16チップはApple Intelligenceには対応しない。
