アメリカのIT大手、「メタ」が21日に発表した9月までの3か月間の決算では、売り上げが去年の同じ時期と比べて26％増えて646億100万ドル、日本円にしておよそ10兆2200億円あまり、最終的な利益はおよそ3.6倍の98億6000万ドル、日本円にしておよそ1兆5600億円となりました。
一方、AIを中心とした2026年の設備投資の規模については、1350億ドルから1450億ドル、日本円で21兆3700億円から22兆9500億円の範囲になるとの見通しを示し、前回の発表から下限を引き上げました。
メタは、データセンターの構築に巨額の資金を投じる「ハイパースケーラー」と呼ばれる企業の1つで、金融市場でAI開発の投資をめぐる持続可能性への懸念も出るなかで、決算が注目されていました。
