大相撲 元大関・若嶋津 日高六男さん死去 69歳 「南海の黒ヒョウ」のニックネーム 妻は高田みづえさん
大相撲の元大関・若嶋津の日高六男さんが肺炎のため15日、亡くなりました。69歳でした。
元大関・若嶋津の日高さんは鹿児島県種子島出身。当時の二子山部屋に入門し、昭和50年春場所で初土俵を踏みました。
昭和56年の初場所で新入幕を果たすと、細身の体ながら四つ相撲の真っ向勝負で人気を博し「南海の黒ヒョウ」というニックネームで親しまれました。
昭和62年に引退したあと年寄・松ヶ根を襲名し二子山部屋の部屋付き親方として指導にあたりました。
その後、平成26年からは一門の名にもなっている名門、二所ノ関の名跡を襲名し、その年、日本相撲協会の理事に就任し、3年前の令和5年7月に日本相撲協会を退職していました。
相撲協会の関係者によりますと、日高さんは肺炎のため15日、亡くなりました。69歳でした。
