拉致被害者家族会 12年ぶりに街頭署名活動 親世代存命のうちに
北朝鮮に拉致された被害者の家族会が12年ぶりに都内の街頭で署名活動を行いました。
政府認定の拉致被害者のうち、親世代で健在なのは横田めぐみさんの母親1人だけとなり、家族たちは残された時間は限られているとして危機感を強めています。
26日東京 銀座で署名活動を行ったのは、中学1年生の時に拉致された横田めぐみさんの弟で家族会代表の横田拓也さんや、1歳の時に母親の田口八重子さんを拉致された飯塚耕一郎さんなど被害者の家族や支援者ら20人です。
家族会として街頭で署名活動を行うのは、2013年4月以来12年ぶりで、家族らはとおりかかった人たちに「すべての被害者を取り戻すため署名にご協力お願いします」と訴えていました。
ことし2月には、拉致被害者の有本恵子さんの父親、明弘さんが96歳で亡くなり、政府認定の拉致被害者の親世代で健在なのは、横田めぐみさんの母親で89歳の早紀江さん1人だけとなりました。
家族会は新たな活動方針の中で、残された時間は限られているという危機感を強く打ち出し、政府に親世代の家族が存命のうちにすべての被害者の一括帰国を実現するよう求めていて、署名用紙もこれに合わせた形に変えました。
家族会代表の横田拓也さんは、「親世代がひとり亡くなり、またひとり亡くなりと残された時間がないという本当に切実な問題を抱えています。声を武器にして世論に訴え、日本政府に訴えて、北朝鮮当局に突きつけていく、この活動を大切にしたいです」と話していました。
家族は来週、アメリカのワシントンを訪問してトランプ政権の高官らと面会し、拉致問題解決への協力を求めることにしています。
