福井駅徒歩圏内に「福井アリーナ」 約5000席
福井商工会議所は19日、福井駅から徒歩圏内の場所に建設予定の「福井アリーナ(仮称)」の事業計画案を発表した。2027年1月頃から着工し、2028年秋頃の完成を予定している。計画地は福井市東公園内。所在地は福井県福井市豊島2丁目5。席数は最大約5,000席。

プロスポーツ、コンサート、セミナー、地域イベントなどの利用を想定したアリーナ施設。プロバスケットボールクラブ「福井ブローウィンズ」のホームアリーナを想定しており、新B1(B.LEAGUE PREMIER)基準を満たすよう計画している。席数はプロスポーツ試合時が約5,000席、コンサート時が約4,500席。
福井駅から近い福井市東公園を建設候補地とすることで、県内外から多くの人が福井駅周辺に集まり、県都のにぎわいづくりと地域経済の活性化が期待できるとする。
アリーナ施設までのアクセスには、福井駅からの歩行者動線を確保。広場に面してエントランスホールやサブアリーナ、ショップ等を整備し、日常的に開かれた施設を実現する。
VIP機能として、貴賓室、BOX席、スイートラウンジなども用意。医務室や授乳室、記者会見室、メディア控室、大会運営室なども備える。
防災機能を備え、災害時は帰宅困難者支援や物資の一時集結などの役割を担う。行政、地域と連携しながら防災機能の強化を図っていく。
延床面積は約13,000m2。建築面積は約8,250m2。年間来場者数は38万人を見込む。事業費は150億円。
