北朝鮮のメディアは、15日、AI＝人工知能が導入された新型の魚雷の発射実験が行われ、性能が立証されたと伝えました。

北朝鮮国営の朝鮮中央通信は、15日、国防科学院とミサイル総局などが新型で超高速の魚雷の発射実験を行ったと17日伝えました。

魚雷には、目標を探したり、誘導したりするためにAIが導入されていて、過去5年間で180回あまりの試験を経て完成した、技術と装置の性能が今回の実験で、立証されたとしています。

一方で、発射した回数や航行距離など具体的な性能については、言及しておらず写真も公開していません。

兵器システムへのAIの導入をめぐっては、9月、キム・ジョンウン（金正恩）総書記が軍需工場を視察した際に、いっそう推進するよう指示していました。

また、北朝鮮が今月10月3日に発射訓練を行った、変則軌道で飛行するとしている「中距離戦略ミサイル」についてキム総書記の妹で朝鮮労働党の総務部長のキム・ヨジョン（金与正）氏はAIを導入しているとしていました。
