広島 三次 旧三江線レールマウンテンバイク 桜の中で運行開始
広島県三次市で、7年前に廃線となったJR三江線の線路の上を電動アシスト自転車で走る「レールマウンテンバイク」の運行が始まり、桜が見頃を迎える中、多くの家族連れなどが楽しんでいます。
「レールマウンテンバイク」は2台の電動アシスト自転車の間に2人がけの補助席を設けた乗り物で、地元のグループが三次市の旧三江線の尾関山駅付近で去年、春から秋にかけての運行を始めました。
ことしの運行は3月に始まっていて、4月5日も多くの家族連れが訪れ沿線の桜が見頃を迎える中およそ750メートルの区間を自転車でゆっくりと往復し、景色などを楽しんでいました。
三原市から訪れた女性は「風が気持ちよく桜の景色も見ながら楽しかったです」と話していました。
運営しているみよしSL保存倶楽部の小畠数美代表は「尾関山は桜や紅葉が有名で、いま桜が咲いています。四季折々の変化を楽しんでもらいたいです」と話していました。
旧三江線の「レールマウンテンバイク」は11月まで毎週、土曜日と日曜日、それに祝日に運行されます。
