鈴木農相 “主食用米 需要を大幅に超過すれば価格は下落”
鈴木農林水産大臣は、ことしも去年並みの作付けが見込まれる主食用のコメの価格について、「需要を大幅に上回る在庫量になれば、当然、価格もそれに従うことになる」と述べ、順調に生産されれば下落するという見方を示しました。
農林水産省の調査によりますと、ことし作付けされる主食用のコメの面積は、先月末時点で大幅な増産となった去年とほぼ同じ水準となり、収穫量は政府の需要見通しを超えると見込まれています。
今後の価格について、鈴木農林水産大臣は22日の閣議のあとの会見で、「コメの取引関係者への調査では、今後、価格が低下していく見方が強い。一般的に言えば、需要を大幅に上回る在庫量になれば、当然、価格もそれに従うことになる」と述べ、順調に生産されれば下落するという見方を示しました。
一方で、「加工用米や米粉用米などについては需要を十分に満たしている状況とは言えず、引き続き増産が求められている」と述べたうえで、「多様なコメの需要について生産者段階まで十分に情報が伝わっていないことも要因だ」と指摘しました。
そして、「細かな情報提供を行うなど生産者が作付けの判断ができる環境を整備していく」として、需要がある主食用以外の生産を呼びかけました。
