鹿児島県霧島市の温泉施設で、5歳の男の子の行方が分からなくなってから12日で3週間となり、現場付近では警察による捜索が続けられています。

先月21日、霧島市隼人町の温泉施設で、家族と訪れていた熊本県八代市の保育園児、田中嶺臣さん（5）の行方が分からなくなりました。

警察による捜索は毎日続けられていて、行方が分からなくなってから3週間になる12日もおよそ15人の態勢で行われています。

警察によりますと、男の子は身長1メートル20センチくらいのやせ型で、当時は家族と一緒に貸し切り湯に入浴していましたが、両親らが先に浴室を出て脱衣所に行っていた間に姿が見えなくなったということです。

警察は、男の子が風呂のそばの窓から外に出て近くにある川のほうに行き、流された可能性もあるとみて、男の子の発見につながる手がかりがないか調べています。
