H3ロケット再始動 6月10日に初の"30形態"打上げへ
JAXAは、H3ロケット6号機(30形態試験機)の打上げを6月10日に行なう。打上げ予定時間帯は9時53分59秒～11時52分46秒。打上げ予備期間は2026年6月11日～2026年6月30日。場所は種子島宇宙センター 大型ロケット発射場。
H3ロケット打上げとしては、2025年12月に打上げに失敗した8号機以来となり、H3ロケットの新形態である30形態としては初の打上げとなる。6号機ではロケット性能確認用ペイロード(VEP-5)を搭載してH3ロケット30形態の飛行実証を行なうとともに、小型副衛星6基(PETREL、STARS-X、BRO-22、VERTECS、HORN-L、HORN-R)の軌道投入を試みる。
今回の打上げは、H3ロケット8号機の打上げ失敗を踏まえ、打上げまでに衛星搭載アダプタ(PSS)の健全性を含めた機体の最終的な評価・点検を行なう。そのうえで、原因究明の評価裏付け、今後の後続ミッションの確実性を増すための飛行データを追加取得する。
今回打上げるのは6号機だが、これはH3ロケット初となる30形態として2025年7月に行なわれた地上燃焼試験において不具合が発見され、スケジュールが後ろ倒しされたため。これにより7号機、8号機が先に打上げられる形となった。
30形態はH3ロケットの中で最も軽量・低価格を狙う最小構成で、固体ロケットブースターを使用せず、1段にLE-9エンジン3基を搭載して打上げる形態。打上げ能力はH3の他形態より小さいが、定常運用段階での打上げ費用をH-IIAロケットの半額程度、約50億円とすることを目指している。
