日本のClaude利用は開発中心　MicrosoftイベントでAnthropicが実態語る

Microsoftは24日、最新のAI技術を活用事例とともに紹介するイベント「Microsoft AI Tour Tokyo 2026」を東京ビッグサイトで開催した。クロージング基調講演では、日本マイクロソフト 執行役員 常務 クラウド & AIソリューション事業本部長の岡嵜禎氏が登壇し、「AIと共創するエンジニアの未来」をテーマにセッションが行なわれた。 講演では、MicrosoftとAnthropicのパートナーシップが大きなトピックとして取り上げられた。Microsoftは開発者に選択の自由を提供するため、多様なAIモデルを含むエコシステムの拡充に努めており、2025年11月にAnthropicとの戦略的提携を発表している。 これにより、GitHub上でClaudeが活用できるほか、Microsoft 365 CopilotにClaude Coworkの機能を統合した「Copilot Cowork」も搭載されるなど、Microsoftの各種環境からシームレスにClaudeを利用できるようになっている。 セッションでは、Anthropic Japan パートナーアライアンスディレクターの伊部達哉氏がゲストとして登壇。Anthropicが公開している「Anthropic Economic Index」のデータをもとに、日本におけるClaudeの利用実態を解説した。 講演時点で日本は、Claudeの国別利用頻度ランキングで116カ国中33位だった。伊部氏は、順位だけを見ると決して高くは見えないものの、人口規模を基準にした期待値は1.59で、利用は期待値を上回る水準にあると説明した。 また、日本におけるClaudeの主な用途は、ソフトウェア開発やデバッグ、プログラミングだという。同氏は、これはClaudeが単なる質問応答ではなく、ビジネスの成果につながる場面で多く使われている傾向を示すものだと述べ、日本の開発者が率先してAIを取り入れ、開発現場の最前線で活用している表れであり、非常に優れた傾向で誇らしく思うと評価した。 伊部氏は、これまでClaudeなどのAIは、仕様理解や設計補助、テスト実行などを支援するヘルパーやサポーターとして使われることが多かったが、今後、開発の標準装備として開発メンバーの一員のような役割を担うようになるとの見方を示した。 同氏によると、Claude Codeの開発者であるボリス・チェルニー氏は、Claude Codeを開発後、自らコードを書く機会が減り、プログラマーからビルダーへと役割が変わったと語っているという。こうした変化により、開発者はAIを活用しながら、従来とは異なる形で時間を使えるようになるとした。 また、こうしたAIの指数関数的な広がりは遠い未来の話ではなく、数カ月後にも起こり得るとの考えを語った。そのうえで、日本の開発者がこの変革の中心となり、日本の開発の裾野をさらに広げていくことに期待を示した。
