メルカリは、「メルカリモバイル」において、2月20日からau回線の提供を開始した。これまではNTTドコモ回線のみだったが、au回線も選択可能となった。 「メルカリモバイル」は、2025年3月からサービスした通信サービス(MVNO)。基本料金は4GBで月額990円からで、メルカリアプリから申込み・管理できるほか、データ容量(ギガ)をメルカリ上で売買できる点が特徴となっている。 新たにau回線(音声・SMS・データ通信)を提供開始し、ドコモとauから選択できるようになった。価格等は基本サービスはドコモ/au回線ともに共通で、既にメルカリモバイルを契約中の人も、回線変更が可能となっている。 メルカリモバイルの料金プランは、4GB 990円、10GB 1,730円、20GB 2,390円、40GB 3,700円の4種類。契約期間の縛りや解約手数料はなく、メルカードでの支払い割引やメルカリでの還元率向上などの特典も用意される。 また、進学・就職・引っ越しなどの新生活シーズンに合わせ、3月5日から4月30日まで「メルカリモバイル1周年祭」第一弾・第二弾を開催。参加条件を満たすと、初月無料特典や2回線目以降申込みでポイントがもらえる複数回線特典の共通特典のほか、クーポン等が付与される。
