APEC貿易相会合 きょう中国で開幕へ

日本やアメリカ、中国など21の国と地域が参加するAPEC＝アジア太平洋経済協力会議の貿易相会合が22日から中国で始まります。中東情勢の悪化でエネルギーの安定供給への懸念が続く中、自由貿易の重要性を改めて確認できるかが焦点です。

APEC貿易相会合は22日と23日の2日間、中国東部の江蘇省蘇州で開かれ、日本から赤澤経済産業大臣と堀井外務副大臣が出席します。

今回の会合では、アジア・太平洋地域でルールに基づく自由で開かれた多角的貿易体制をどのように構築していくかや、貿易や投資の拡大に向けてデジタルなど新たな分野での協力を拡大できるかが大きなテーマとなる見通しです。

日本としては、中東情勢の悪化でアジア各国でエネルギーの安定供給に対する懸念が広がっていることや、中国によるレアアースの輸出規制などを踏まえて、地域全体でのサプライチェーン＝供給網の強化を呼びかけたい考えです。

会合の中でそれぞれの国と地域が自由貿易の重要性を改めて確認し、一致した姿勢を打ち出せるかが焦点となります。
