コクヨ、ファミレスのような人材育成施設「DIG」
コクヨは、同社初となる人材育成施設「DISCOVER & SHARE PLACE DIG」(DIG)を、1月15日にオープンする。社員の自律的な探求・探索活動と、コクヨグループに蓄積する暗黙知と情熱の共有を実践するための場として活用する。

コクヨは、現在の年間売上約3,000億円から、2030年に約5,000億円まで成長させる長期ビジョンを掲げおり、そのために文具や家具にとらわれない事業領域の拡張を推進している。
また、2023年3月には人材マネジメントポリシーを制定するなど、人材を社会の財産ととらえ、採用と育成を強化し、これまで培ってきた自社の強みに各事業のナレッジを掛け合わせることで、事業間シナジーの最大化に取り組んでいる。
DIGはその一環として設置する社内用施設で、事業横断で社員同士が学び合い、新規事業や既存事業の成長に繋げ、顧客体験価値を広げることを狙いとしている。
社内利用の施設ながら発表会を実施して外部に発信する狙いについて、コクヨ 執行役員 ヒューマン&カルチャー本部長 越川康成氏は、「コクヨでは働き方、学び方を実験し、経済価値に繋げていくことにトライしている。他の企業の方が“そういった手もあるのか”と考え、真似していただく形でこういった場を設ける取り組みが広がれば、日本全体が良くなっていくのではないかと考えている」と説明した。
DIGの設計で参考にしたのは、学生が試験勉強で利用したり、子育て中の親が悩みを共有しながらランチを取ったりと、学生から大人まで多くの人が学びの場として利用する「ファミリーレストラン」。個人やチームの活動に没入できるボックス席をメインに、ドリンクバーやライブラリーなどを点在させる空間構成となっている。
施設内には、最大36名収容可能な大人数向けの研修スペース、少人数で利用できるボックス席、1人でも利用しやすいカウンター席やブースなどが設置されている。そのほか、施設内の移動を促すため、ドリンクバーやスナックバー、ライトミールバーを設けている。これらは、社員が周囲から様々な刺激を得られる、あるいは食事やドリンクを楽しみながらチームで学び続けられる環境にすることを目的としている。
使用イメージは、会社が提供するプログラムへの参加、自己学習、社員主催の勉強会、探求・探索活動の4つ。
会社提供のプログラムについては、コクヨの人材育成機関「コクヨアカデミア」が主催する社内複業制度「20%チャレンジ」、実践型研修プログラム「マーケティング大学」「マーケティング大学院」、デジタル人材教育・実践プログラム「KOKUYO DIGITAL ACADEMY(コクヨ デジタル アカデミー)」など、会社が提供する人材育成プログラムに関する活動を行なえる。
自己学習については、語学や資格取得の勉強、読書、ウェビナーの視聴など、社員個人の自己研鑽のための活動での利用を想定している。
社員主催の勉強会は、社員がテーマを設定し、自身の経験や専門知識・ノウハウの共有、関心のある物事について互いの意見や考えを交換し合うなどの活用を想定している。例として、新しい技術や業界トレンドの紹介、業務効率化のためのツール活用術、趣味を活かしたクリエイティブなアイデアの共有などを挙げている。
探求・探索活動については、新規事業のアイデア創出やプロジェクト企画にゆるやかに繋がる探究テーマを自主的に取り組む場としての活用を想定している。サステナブルな未来のための活動コミュニティやコミュニケーション促進アプリ開発など、自社の成長のタネになる実験が可能としている。
仕事に直結する活動だけではなく、サークル活動など“仕事に直結するかどうかはさておき”という利用も可能。例えばコクヨにはeスポーツのサークルがあるが、上達するためのコツを教えるという使い方であっても、それにより人が集まり、部門を超えた人間関係ができ、そこから何らかの形で仕事に繋がるという考えに基づいている。
DIGの名称には、掘る、探求するなどの意味を持つ言葉であることから、「社員同士が結い合い、学び合い、深く探求する場所にしたい」という想いが込められている。コクヨ 働き方改革推進総務部 統括部長 新居臨氏によれば「DIGりに行こう」「DIGGERになろう」が合言葉になることを期待しているという。
場所は、コクヨ社員の仕事場である東京品川オフィスとは別のビル。歩いてすぐの場所ながら、移動をすることでモードチェンジして、この施設を利用してほしいという。所在地は東京都港区港南1丁目8-27 日新ビル1階・2階。
環境構築にあたっては、クリエイティブ・ディレクションはDDAA代表の元木大輔氏をディレクターとして招き、コクヨのプロダクト・インテリアデザイナーが協働して設計を行なった。コクヨとしては、社内の多様なクリエイターが参画することも、学びのプログラムの1つと捉えている。
