岡山 総社市 遠隔操作できる草刈り機など無償貸し出しへ
地域の道路や水路などで草刈り作業にあたる人たちの負担軽減につなげようと、岡山県総社市は、離れた場所からコントローラーで遠隔操作できる草刈り機などを無償で貸し出す事業を今年度始めることになり、操作方法を学ぶ講習会が開かれました。
総社市の高梁川の堤防で14日開かれた講習会には、市から委託を受けて道路や水路の維持管理にあたっている土木担当者や、一緒に草刈り作業をしている地域住民など、合わせておよそ50人が参加しました。
市は離れた場所からコントローラーで遠隔操作できる草刈り機を4台、自走式の草刈り機を6台用意し、市が管理する道路などで草刈りを行う際に、来月から無償で貸し出すことにしています。
メーカーの担当者が操作方法を説明し、参加者が交代で草刈り機を操作しました。
市は人口減少や高齢化が進む中で、地域住民の負担軽減につなげたいということです。
参加者は「草刈りをすると腰がきついのでぜひ使ってみたい」と話していました。
総社市の目黒由基建設部次長は「地域の方が少しでも楽に草刈りができればと思って導入した。みんなが使えるようになればと期待している」と話していました。
