noteとKADOKAWAが資本業務提携 IP創出やnoteの動画・音声強化
メディアプラットフォームのnoteと出版・エンタメ大手のKADOKAWAは24日、次世代のIP運用エコシステム構築などを目的とし、資本業務提携を締結した。KADOKAWAは、noteの第三者割当増資を引受し、100万株を22億円で4月9日に取得。持株比率は 5.21%となる。
提携により、IP創出・開発領域や出版DX領域における連携を進めていく。
IP創出については、noteからの書籍化を増やし、デジタル発の次世代コンテンツ開発の仕組みづくりを推進。書籍以外にも、グッズやイベントを前提としたコンテンツ開発を行ない、収益性の向上を図る。また、新たな創作エコシステムの開発を目指すほか、noteのメンバーシップ機能等を活用した作家の収益化支援に共同で取り組む。
出版DXについては、KADOKAWAのWebサイトの一部において「note pro」のSaaS基盤を活用し、運営体制の効率化とコストダウンを推進する。あわせて、SEO(検索エンジン最適化)に強いnoteの特性を活かした、SEOおよびAI検索からの流入強化とともに、レビューや反響を出版・販促につなげていく。
AIデータ流通領域では、著作権者に還元されるコンテンツ資産の公正な価値評価に基づく収益モデルの構築や、権利関係を明確にしたRAG(検索拡張生成)モデルの構築について共同で実証および検討を行なう。
加えて、KADOKAWAグループが有する動画配信技術やノウハウをnoteのプラットフォームへ活用することでも協議・検討を推進。noteでの映像・音声配信を通じたクリエイターとファンのエンゲージメント深化など、両社のプラットフォーム間での会員基盤の拡大と新たな収益機会の創出を目指すとする。
